Louis
Louis has been an adjunct professor of music at Bergen Community College for over 16 years. Louis holds a masters in Music Education, as well as New Jersey teacher certification. Louis' primary instrument is guitar, in all styles, with an emphasis on Rock, Country and Blues.
Louis, a career musician, presents to his students decades of performing in bands/ ensembles/ recording sessions and theatre of all types, including residency in Nashville which provided extensive performing, studio and songwriting experience.
Louis' students have worked with Miles Davis, The Brecker Brothers and Mike Stern, among others, and he has mentored students auditioning for major universities.
When studying with Louis, students will experience a dynamic and comprehensive, as well as fun and practical approach to the guitar. Lesson curriculums include theory, improvisation and ear training using the students choice of music. Additional instruments taught include pedal steel guitar, songwriting and ukulele.
As a composer/ audio engineer and producer, Louis' credits include HULU, Amazon on Demand, CBS, Discovery, Harpo, TLC, Animal Planet and over 15 filmes.
