Meet Jayon – Veteran Vocal Coach, Performer, and Passionate Mentor

Jayon is a seasoned vocal coach with over 30 years of experience working with students of all ages and skill levels—from beginners to professionals. After spending 15 years in Los Angeles, she has returned to Rockland County, bringing with her a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion for the vocal arts.

As the daughter of an opera singer and the mother of a professional R&B artist, music runs deep in Jayon’s roots. Both of her children play multiple instruments, sing, and act professionally—a testament to the musical environment she has nurtured throughout her life.

Jayon’s own performance career includes singing on some of the most iconic stages in New York City, including Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, the Apollo Theater, and Avery Fisher Hall. She draws from this rich performance background to create dynamic and personalized lessons that focus on vocal development, expressive movement, and music history.

Her approach is centered on helping each student discover and refine their unique voice. With carefully designed warm-ups and an emphasis on artistry and technique, Jayon empowers her students to grow in confidence and ability.
