Adam Z.
Adam is a dynamic concert and jazz pianist who brings a lifelong love of music to every lesson. He began piano at age three, added drums at nine, and trumpet at eleven—so he knows exactly what it feels like to grow as a young musician. Adam holds a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a Master’s degree from NYU, and has performed in major venues including Carnegie Hall. He’s taught and played everything from classical and jazz to pop and original music, but his greatest passion is improvisation, where students learn to express their true musical identity.
Adam understands the challenges of learning new pieces and building strong practice habits, and he uses that experience to encourage, motivate, and empower his students. He helps students discover the styles and songs that excite them most—because he believes that spark is what fuels real growth, confidence, and creativity.
In lessons, Adam creates an upbeat, supportive environment where students explore music they love, develop strong technique, and learn how to think and play like real musicians. He believes music builds joy, discipline, leadership, and self-expression—and his mission is to help every student experience those benefits while having fun.
