Private Lessons with Jadon C.
Jadon C.

Jadon is a passionate guitarist and music educator whose journey proves that there is no “right age” to begin making music. He picked up the guitar at 14 and taught himself by listening to, studying, and transcribing legendary blues and rock guitarists including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck. That hands-on approach gave Jadon a deep appreciation for learning music by ear and understanding what makes the music students love actually work.
While studying at SUNY New Paltz, Jadon discovered the music of jazz guitar legend Wes Montgomery, an experience that completely changed his musical direction. After graduating, he chose to pursue music professionally and immersed himself in jazz, studying the musical vocabulary of masters including John Coltrane, Chick Corea, and Michael Brecker while continuing to draw inspiration from the powerful blues and rock guitar sounds that first made him fall in love with the instrument.
Today, Jadon brings that same curiosity and dedication into his teaching. His lessons go beyond simply learning notes and chords—he helps students develop their ears, understand the music they're playing, improvise, express themselves, and become more confident and independent musicians. His background allows him to connect with students interested in everything from rock and blues to jazz and improvisation.
Jadon understands firsthand what it's like to start guitar without years of formal training, making his approach especially encouraging and relatable for students beginning their own musical journey. Above all, he strives to bring passion, excitement, and authenticity to every lesson, helping each student develop their own musical voice and experience the satisfaction of being able to truly express themselves through the guitar.
